1.1 By placing an order with us you will be deemed to have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
1.2 These Terms and Conditions and your use of our web site are governed by English law and you agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English court. This does not affect your non-excludable statutory rights.
1.3 This website and our Terms and Conditions have been designed for use within the United Kingdom and under UK law. Whilst we are happy to consider requests for products and enquiries from outside the United Kingdom, we give no warranty, express or implied that the use of this website or the placing of any order through this website from outside the UK complies with any applicable non-UK laws or regulations. Accordingly, any products or promotions not permitted under your local law are not offered to you.
1.4 A Contract between the customer and for the sale of our products will only exist once an order has been accepted, processed and despatched. This does not affect the customer's statutory rights

2 The goods to be supplied ("the Goods")
2.1 A description of the Goods is set out on the Site. Whilst we will attempt to ensure that there are no changes to the Goods, it is possible that there might be some minor variations to their description and/or specification which arises by virtue of changes made by the manufacturers of the parts supplied which form part of the Goods.
2.2 We cannot guarantee that the colour of the products shown on the Site will look like the actual product that you receive. Although we use highly advanced photographic techniques and take special care to ensure accurate colour representation, actual colours can vary from virtual colours due to the varied colour settings used by your computer monitor.
2.3 When ordering prescription orders, you must provide us with details of the relevant prescription that is to be applied to the goods. All prescriptions provided to us must have been given to you by a Registered Medical Practitioner or Registered Ophthalmic Optician following an eye examination by them within the last 2 years.
2.4 We will rely upon the prescription provided by you and the goods provided will contain lenses matching the prescription that you submitted.
2.5 If you are unsure of the relevant prescription to be applied to the goods, please consult a Registered Medical Practitioner or Registered Ophthalmic Optician before placing an order.
2.6 Unless you state otherwise, we use an appropriate average Pupillary Distance 'PD' to complete your order. This PD measurement has been provided by fully qualified Dispensing Opticians. By agreeing to these terms and conditions, and unless you state otherwise, you will be agreeing to let us use an average PD of 63mm for single vision distance lenses and of 60mm for single vision reading lenses. recommends that you consult your Optician to obtain your PD before ordering, and provide that measurement to us when ordering.
2.7 You must be over the age of 18 to order from
2.8 and you must not be registered blind, or partially sighted,
2.9 or ordering on behalf of someone under 18 years of age.
2.10 We do not supply spectacles with single vision lenses of a spherical power greater than +8.00 and −6.00 (dioptres) and a cylindrical power greater than +4.00 and −4.00 (dioptres) - please do not request us to do this.
2.11 For Contact Lense Orders: It is important that you either fax ( f: 0115 9501551) or email ( a scanned copy of your upto date contact lense prescription. This must be done straight away so we can verify the contact lens specification. Otherwise we have supplied you correctly to the specifications you have provided.
2.12 For Prescription Spectacle Orders: It is important that you either fax ( f: 0115 9501551) or email ( or email a scanned copy of your upto date eye examination prescription. This must be done straight away so we can verify the spectacle prescription. Otherwise we have supplied you correctly to the specifications you have provided.

3 Price

3.1 The prices payable for the Goods that you order are as set out in the Site.
3.2 The prices on the Site include any value added tax payable.
3.3 You may be required to pay extra for delivery and it might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations. Our delivery charges are set out in the Site.
3.4 The currency of our website is in english pounds (£). If you are buying from abroad it is your responsibility to make sure you understand the current exchange rates and that the goods you are buying are priced up in english pounds.

3.5 Spectacle prices quoted on this website are priced as frame only, prescription lenses are at additional cost. Spectacle prices in-store include standard 1.5 single vision prescription anti-reflective coated lenses. Upgrades for different refractive indexes, coatings, tints, prisms, varifocals, occupational lenses and bifocals Prices instore differ to prices online as frames purchased online do not include prescription lenses.

4 Your right to cancel the contract
4.1 In accordance with Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 ďThe consumer has the right to cancel within seven working days for most goods and services. In relation to the delivery of goods, this period runs from the day after the day of delivery.
4.2 You have no right to cancel any order that has been accepted by us except as set out below;
4.3 You may cancel your contract with us up to seven (7) days from placing your order or up until any order has been dispatched, which ever is the lesser;

4.5 If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to s contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to at s contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible.
4.6 Once you have notified that you are cancelling your contract, any sum debited to from your credit card will be re-credited to your account minus a £5 admin charge incurred with card processing as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order provided that the goods back in question are returned by you and received by us in the condition they were in when delivered to you.
4.7 If you cancel the contract but do not return the goods to in the condition they were in when delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
4.8 We expect the sunglasses to be returned in the packaging in which they were received, if they are damaged in transit it is the responsibility of the customer to claim back all costs from the company with which the sunglasses were returned. We reserve the right to return faulty sunglasses back to customers that have been damaged in transit. Sunglasses must also be returned with/in any branded material that they are received in, e.g. cases, boxes and with the warranty and cloth (if applicable). See returns policy 7.
4.9 This right to cancel does not apply to prescription glasses or prescription sunglasses at any time after we have started to manufacture prescription lenses for you.
4.10 All goods must be returned in accordance with our returns policy. Unfortunately return postage can not be refunded in this case.

5 Our right to refuse or cancel your order

5.1 reserve the right to refuse to accept your order for any reason including, without limitation and whether or not payment has been received by if:
5.2 have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered;
5.3 do not deliver to your area; orone or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by from suppliers.
5.4 If do refuse your order will notify you by e-mail and will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by from your credit card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

6 Backorders
6.1 Backordered items are usually in stock within 1 to 4 weeks but on some occasions may take longer. If your order is not ready to ship within 10 days of the order we will send you an email to update you of the situation. If the original shipping date cannot be met and you would rather not wait, you will be given the option to cancel your order. If the backordered item is no longer available at all, we will notify you immediately by email, cancel your order and remove it from our catalogue.
6.2 Events beyond our control: We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods you have ordered or any delay in doing so or for any damage or defect to goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, without limitation, strikes, lock-outs and other industrial disputes, breakdown of systems or network access, flood, fire, explosion or accident.

7.1 We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit card Vouchers. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, and Switch. Visa Electron. All transactions are shown in £ sterling.
7.2 All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication and are quoted in pounds sterling (£) and where appropriate are inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate. If your order is being sent to a member state of the EC then the selling price will include VAT at the current rate. The current rate of VAT is 20%. Any customs or import duties levied once the package reaches your destination country will be your responsibility as we have no control over these charges and cannot predict them.

8.1 If your credit/debit card is used fraudulently as a direct result of being used to buy from our site, then we will assume liability for the first £50 of your loss. Your credit card company is obligated to take responsibility for the rest. We will do our best to work with your credit card company to minimise the hassle for you.
8.2 Fraud: We reserve the right to refuse sales at our discretion if we believe there is a fraudulent credit card use. You may be asked to provide further proof of your identity and/or proof of credit card/ email address. Failure to do so will result in termination of the transaction. You will be notified by email if cancels your order or if your credit card has not been approved. If order is cancelled a £5.00 administration cherge will be incurred.
8.3 This contract does not affect your consumer statutory rights.

9 Credit
9.1 Upon receipt and inspection of the returned merchandise, your Credit Card will be credited appropriately and you will receive email confirmation of the transaction.
9.2 PayPal refunds can only be issued up to 60 days after the initial period. If for whatever reason, we need to refund you after the 60 days have expired then you will be responsible for PayPalís charges for receiving the money from us
